Single Barrel is a boutique liquor store with spirits, beer, wine, and perfectly curated accoutrements. The on-site bar is open daily serving traditional and unique cocktails like the one featured here. Whitefish Handcrafted Spirits Highline Rye with notes of apple and spice coordinates with Whitefish Cranberry Moon for a seasonally perfect cocktail.

½ ounce Demerara simple syrup
1½ ounces Whitefish Highline Rye
1 ounce lemon juice
1 egg white
Ice
¾ ounce Whitefish Cranberry Moon
Swirl of aromatic bitters
Freshly grated cinnamon

For the Demerara syrup: Mix equal parts Demerara sugar and water in a sauce pan. Heat to dissolve the sugar then let cool and store in the refrigerator.

For the cocktail: Combine the rye, lemon juice, egg white, and syrup in a shaker and dry shake (no ice). Add ice and shake vigorously to cool. Double strain the cocktail into a glass and allow the foam to rise. Hold a cocktail spoon or straw to the bott om of the glass and pour the Cranberry Moon down the spoon or straw to sink it to the bottom of the drink. Add dashes of bitters and freshly grated cinnamon to the foam. Enjoy!
