Overnight Smoked BBQ Pork Butt

from Bozeman: For the Family

½ pound brown sugar
¾ tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon salt
¾ tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon garlic powder
¾ tablespoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon Hungarian paprika
¾ tablespoon sriracha
¾ tablespoon onion powder
½ cup apple juice
4 pounds pork butt

Place all ingredients in bowl. Using gloves, rub the mixture together and heavily season the pork butt. Place pork butt on smoker at 275°F for ten hours. Using a spray bottle, spray the meat with apple juice every two hours. If you don’t have a smoker, you can braise the pork with all ingredients plus 2 cups of chicken broth in a slow cooker or a 250° oven (in covered pot, like a dutch oven) for 6 hours.
